The League of Women Voters of Oregon is sponsoring a high school federal and state mock election. Students across the state are making their choices, and teachers will report the results to the LWV of Oregon to be shared after the election. All DHS students had the opportunity to look at the Oregon voters pamphlet and then vote during their classes with Mrs. Anderson. To celebrate their participation in this mock election, students made "I Voted" stickers to wear throughout the day. (The seniors were shy and most didn't want to be in the picture.)
Don't forget that the blood drive is today in the upper gym! We are going to start earlier than previously advertised, so there are now appointments available as soon as 9 a.m. Walk ins are also welcome!

The fourth graders have been reading about famous inventors and inventions in our reading curriculum. They have also gotten the chance to be inventors themselves! They had to create a way to get garbage from their desk to the garbage can two feet away with a variety of material such as cardboard, toilet paper rolls, paper clips, pipe cleaners, and tape. We also discussed what we can learn from our failures. They did such a great job!
All of the elementary students went on walking field trips to enjoy the festivities at Mr. and Mrs. Skiles' home! Everyone had a great time playing, decorating pumpkins, listening to a read aloud, and snacking on treats. Thanks for the wonderful time and fun memories, Mr. and Mrs. Skiles!

The Dufur School District is seeking input from its students, staff, parents, and community members as part of the search for a new Superintendent. This survey aims to gather insights into the desired qualities and qualifications of the new Superintendent and identify strengths and areas for growth within the district. The feedback collected will assist the search and planning consultant in creating a candidate profile and search materials.
Please complete each question thoughtfully. You may navigate back to previous pages to review or modify your answers, but once you submit the survey, you will not be able to make changes.
If you hold multiple roles within the district, you may either list all your roles in the "Other (please specify)" comment box and complete the survey once, or take the survey separately for each role.
The school board will review the overall survey results when developing the Superintendent profile.
